BMW 7 Series


BMW 7 Series is a line of full-size luxury car produced by BMW's size. This car was first introduced in 1977, up to the current 7 Series is BMW's most luxurious car series and is only available in sedan or limousine version. BMW 7 Series is typically used to introduce the latest technologies before it is introduced into series BMW underneath.

The BMW 7 Series competed in the arena of super luxury cars. This car has excellent handling, powerful engine options and a comfortable chair. It is worth menitioning that the 7 Series radiates balance and comfort in driving. This car has its own characteristics for the driving, of which this car has the strength, comfort and luxury that is only obtained on the BMW 7 Series. In 1983 BMW has made improvements in the 7 Series by renewing front, spoiler and bumper, dahboard and instruments panel. E 23

BMW E23 is the first generation BMW 7Series this car replaces the previous sedan. BMW E23, produced years 1977 to 1987. BMW 7 Series E23 highly sophisticated and technologically advanced at the time of their time. BMW E23 is the firs tuse of the a check control system error indicator, E23 also has a complex climate control system, on-board computer, abs, so some of these features become standard in the 7 series.

The E23 is a replacementfor the big BMW saloons E3 2500-3.3 Li. In the case in the BMW maintain a good reputation in handling and performance that determined by the model as 3.Osi. The E23 was launchedin the UK in May 1977 and was not replaced with E32 7 Series until ten years later.

Design & Features
For all models except 745i E23 Series is built with 12-valve six-cylinder M30 engine as used in the more E3 and E9 cars. Although most of the E23 engine is full-injected, two models the 728 and 730 are available with a solex rour barrel carburetor until 1979, when they were replaced by the 728i which ful injection. Model ful injection system initially using Bosch-Jetronic, while subsequent models using a digital system is more advanced Bosch Motronic.

E23 7 Series cars that are upscaleand sophisticated. They are the first to be equipped with BMW service interval indicators, a check control that can warn the driver in a variety of errors contained in the system, and the system has a complex temperature control. On board computer and ABS were optional on early models but later became standard features. than the mode in 1985 - 1986 offers an optional driver airbag. Various option including leather upholstery , several types of wood trim, electric seats, and power windows and mirrors.

Turbocharged 745i

The 745i is a particular model that has a high performance offered on the European market between 1979 and 1986. This model was originally equipped with a specially prepared 3.2 L (3205cc) six-cylinder gas engine variants M30 and KKK K27 turbocharger produces 252 hp at 9 psi of boost. This machine is designated by BMW with M102 machine code. In 1984 to 3.4 L engine, change of Jetronic for Motronic engine management, and is known as the M106. Because of the displacement of higher and better engine management, M106 develop the same power as the M102 at only 6 psi.

South African 745i SA

A 745i without turbocharger specially made for the South African market. Right-hand drive version is not possible to use a turbocharged engine, because the proximity of the turbocharger on the right side of the engine bay. Instead, it is equipped with an upgraded version of the 290 hp (220 kW) dual-camshaft 24-valve M88 / M1 Motorsport 3 engine with fuel injection system Bosch ML-Jetronic. This particular bike is also attached to the first generation M5 and M635CSi. Production run 209 745i South Africa was built in 1983-1987, 192 is built using an automatic gearbox with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
BMW South Africa is one of the models 745i in Class A of Modified Saloon Car Championship South Africa, and is the only BMW approved applications by motor sport in the history of the BMW 7-series cars.

North American & Japan
Only 733i, 735i, and L7 are offered by the manufacturer in this market. As usual, BMW only sold upscale version for the market, ranging from components leather seats, cruise control, wood trim, power windows, electric sunroof, and other options as a standard reference. North American version equipped with larger bumpers to comply with U.S.
Machines used in these markets have low compression pistons that can not be said to be stronger than the European-market version. There are several features such as ABS available in markets outside North America than before they were installed on the American model. Many turbocharged 745i models made their way to America during the peak of gray market in the mid-1980s.
